Opening a bottle
About to open one? Scan it. The Somm takes one off your count, then reminds you to rate it on Home.
Saving a bottle for someday
Mark a bottle for a birthday or an anniversary and Home reminds you as the day nears. Set the drinking window yourself if you know better.
Where it is, who opened it
Bottles remember where they are stored, their size, who opened them, and how they came to you. Snap the back label or the receipt and the Somm reads it.
Shopping
Buy Next keeps the bottles you are hunting, with the price you would pay. Scan the receipt on the way out and they are in your cellar.
Your notes
Jot a tasting note in your own words and tap Polish. The Somm keeps its notes separate from yours.
Ask, tidied up
Your chats under one bar, a sheet to switch or start fresh. When the Somm means a bottle you own, it shows it.
Your plan, this month
See how much of your monthly plan you have used in Settings, and what is left. It resets on your renewal day. Running low? A thin line under the Home header says so.

Search the cellar by grape or region. Group it and jump between groups.
Plans, a real free trial, and Extra Rounds
The Somm now starts free: scan bottles, get your first shop verdicts, and ask questions — enough to get a real feel, no card needed. When you are ready, pick a plan: Glass ($9.99/mo) for one person, Bottle ($14.99/mo) for two people sharing a cellar, or Cellar ($24.99/mo) for heavy use. Every plan has a generous monthly allowance, and if a big month runs past it, Extra Rounds live in Settings — one round covers a scan, chat, or verdict, and they never expire.
The Somm grows up: a free tier and a subscription
The beta wallet is retired — no more balances or top-ups. In its place: a free tier that covers the essentials (scanning bottles into your cellar, a few bulk cellar scans, quick questions via suggested prompts, and your first shop verdicts), and a subscription for everything without counting — $9.99 a month or $79 a year. Find it under Settings → Subscription.
The Household plan: one subscription, both of you
Sharing a cellar with a partner? The Household plan — $14.99 a month or $129 a year — covers two people on one subscription, with a shared allowance. The covered partner sees it plainly in Settings: covered, nothing to pay.
The Somm meets you at the door
The home screen is new. The Somm greets you with something true — a bottle entering its drinking window, or a question about last night — above quick actions for scanning, shopping, and your cellar. When there is nothing to say, it says nothing.
One-tap ratings, right on the home screen
Opened a bottle recently? The Somm asks how it was, right at the door — one tap on Cellar, Drink, Try, or Pass. Every rating sharpens its buy calls for you.
